Michele Zenari was born in Soave (VR), Italy, in 1996. He received his master degree in electronic engineering from the University of Padova, Padova, Italy, in 2020, with a thesis on the analysis and modeling of InAs quantum dot lasers epitaxially grown on silicon. In October 2024, he received his Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Science and Technology from the Department of Information Engineering, University of Padova, where he worked on the characterization and reliability of quantum dot lasers and vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers for silicon photonics. Starting in April 2024, he joined Ghent University-IMEC as a postdoctoral researcher to work on micro-transfer printed lasers on silicon photonics ICs. His work focuses on accelerated aging tests aimed at improving the reliability of micro-transfer printed laser diodes and the development of laser diode compact models for the building blocks of photonic circuit design automation.
