Mr. Xiangfeng Chen
This person is working in this group since 2018.
I joined Photonic Research Group in 2018 and my research focus is on large scale programmable photonic circuits at both circuit and component levels.
I am from Deyang City,Sichuan Province, China. I enjoy the interdisciplinary nature of photonic engineering and it shapes who I am. I was originally trained as a material scientist and completed a transition to an optical engineer during my years at the Center for Optical Materials Science and Engineering Technologies (COMSET, Clemson University, SC, US). I had research journey designing PIC building blocks and fabrication experience in both cleanrooms at the Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology(IEN, Georgia Tech, GA, US) and COMSET. I received Ms degree by carrying out research on array waveguide gratings for III-V on silicon nitride hybrid integration.Specific Research Topics
