How to reach us?
The Photonics Research Group is located at the Campus Ardoyen / Technologiepark-Zwijnaarde
/ Tech Lane Science Park,
near Ghent.
Offices
& measurement labs are located in the iGent-Tower, building 126, floor 3-4-5 (reception desk
on floor 4)

At the park, parking is only allowed in the parking building ()
or on designated parking spaces ().
You can validate/pay your ticket when leaving the park the payment machines at
the exit barriers or in the parking building.
Parking on the shoulder or on not designated parking places is illegal and
infringements will result in a €50 increase in the parking fee (including VAT).
This means a fine on top of the applicable hourly rate for vehicles parked in
undesignated parking spaces. The owner of the vehicle must immediately pay this
fine at one of the parking payment machines on the site. Without payment it will
not be possible to leave the park with the vehicle.
Public
transport
There are frequent trains from Brussels airport to Gent (mostly with a change of
trains in Brussels). You can plan your journey on the web
site of the Belgian Railway (NMBS).
Trains arrive at St-Pieters
station in Gent.
There are taxis available at the main exit of the station. Alternatively you can

Get off after approximately 10 minutes, at the stop "Bollebergen" (next to the
Don Bosco secondary school). From this stop, you still have a walk of 5 minutes
ahead across the "Technologiepark".
Shuttle Service
There is free shuttle service ()
between the St-Pieters station in Gent and the Technology Park. The shuttle
busses run every 15 minutes between 7u30 and 9u30 in the morning, and between
16u30 and 18u30 in the evening. When boarding the bus, tell the driver you're a
visitor for the university. There are 4 stops in the Technologypark - the last
stop (AA Tower) is the closest to our offices. (see map)
Driving instructions
If you are coming from:
Kortrijk (or Lille):
On highway E17 (Antwerpen/Kortrijk), take exit 8 "De Pinte/Zevergem" and
turn right in the direction of "Gent N60". Then skip to "On
the N60"
Antwerp: On
highway E17 (Antwerpen/Kortrijk), take exit 8 "De Pinte/Zevergem" and turn
left in the direction of "Gent N60". Then skip to "On
the N60"
Brussels: On
highway E40 (Brussel/Oostende), when approaching Gent, there is a crossing
between E17 and E40. Take the direction of E17 (Kortrijk). On highway E17 (Antwerpen/Kortrijk),
take exit 8 "De Pinte/Zevergem" and turn left in the direction of "Gent
N60". Then skip to "On the N60"
Brugge or Oostende:
On highway E40 (Brussel/Oostende), when approaching Gent, there is a
crossing between E17 and E40. Take the direction of E17 (Kortrijk). On
highway E17 (Antwerpen/Kortrijk), take exit 8 "De Pinte/Zevergem" and turn
left in the direction of "Gent N60". Then skip to "On
the N60"
On the N60:
There are many speedcams on the N60, so take care!
Coming from the exit of the E17, after about 4 km in the direction of "Gent
N60" you will encounter a large roundabout with an oblong (oval) shape. The
roundabout starts just after the 4th traffic lights. Follow the roundabout
and after 180 meters take a right turn onto the "Technologiepark".
You are now on the campus, follow
the one-way street from the entrance of the campus to one of the parking
lots.
