Mr. Jan de Haan (Doctoral Researcher)
This person is working in this group since 2025.
Jan received a BSc (2022) and MSc (2024) degree in Physics from the University of Bonn, Germany.
During his Master's degree, he worked on an experiment from atomic physics and quantum optics, trying to increase the coherence time of Rydberg superatoms.
Afterwards, he decided he wanted to work towards making chip-scale lasers with performance comparable to the table-top lasers he had worked with in the lab.
Since January 2025, he is working as a PhD student on the LASIQ project, supervised by Kasper van Gasse and Bart Kuyken.
