Dr. Amit Khanna  (Postdoctoral Researcher)

Amit Khanna is in charge of ePIXfab-The Silicon Photonics Platform. He operationally manages the imec Silicon Photonics MPW offering. He is also responsible for ePIXfab's training activities. As part of the ESSenTIAL project(EU FP7) he engages frequently with the industry to provide feasibility reports on use of silicon photonics for their applications.

Amit completed M.Sc. in Nanotechnology from Aalto University, Finland. He is close to completing his PhD in Optoelectronics from Aalto University. In his doctoral studies he investigated ALD over silicon nitride integrated optics platform and devices such as non-birefringent 2D slot waveguides for integrating active materials on silicon photonic platform.
