Objective:

  • To improve the throughput of packet-switched networks by providing novel optical routing techniques and to develop key optical functionalities for optical packet routing.

INTEC's Role:

  • Development of multi channel optical 2R regenerators (IMEC, with Kymata)High speed modulation and fast wavelength switching of widely tunable lasers. (IMEC, with ADC-Altitun and UCD)Theoretical quantification of advantages and disadvantages of optical label switching. (IBCN group)
