Abstract
10Gb/s all-optical 2R-regeneration is demonstrated using a Mach-Zehnder Interferometer with only one semiconductor optical amplifier, leaving the other arm transparent, rendering better noise and dynamic properties. Simulations in combination with literature prove the potential of this configuration for higher bit-rates. Related Research Topics
