Abstract

In this article we present a numerical study of a new
electrically pumped heterogeneously integrated III-Von silicon micro-laser. The novelty in our design lies in the fact that we use resonant silicon grating cavities to serve as reflectors. The proposed structure is simulated using a 3D FDTD simulator and
we provide some preliminary experimental results.
