Dr. Joan Juvert
This person worked in the group from 2016 till 2019.
Joan received the B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Barcelona in 2006 specialising in theoretical physics, and the M.Sc. in Photonics from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya in 2009.
He received the Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Barcelona in 2014. His thesis involved the design and fabrication of silicon based light sources using quantum confinement in silicon nanoclusters.
In 2015 he moved to Scotland to work as a Research Assistant in the Biomedical Engineering research division of the University of Glasgow. His work in Glasgow involved the design, fabrication and characterization of optoelectronic tweezers to micromanipulate optoelectronic components using light-induced dielectrophoresis.
He is currently working on laser integration through transfer printing.
