Ana Radosavljevic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, in 1988. In 2012 she received her Master diploma in Nanoelectronics, optoelectronics and laser techniques at the University of Belgrade, School of electrical engineering. From 2012 to 2015 she carried out PhD research on complex systems of coupled optical waveguides, with particular emphasis on their applications in the control of light beam propagation, at the University of Belgrade, Vinca Institute of nuclear sciences. After completing PhD, she continued working on complex photonic systems at the Vinca Institute as a Research Associate and served as a consultant at Heart Beam Inc, working on the development of diagnostic algorithms and software for medical devices. In April 2017, Ana joined the Photonics Research Group at Intec, UGent where her current research focuses on the design and fabrication of building blocks for integrated photonic circuits in transparent materials based on femtosecond laser assisted modification of their optical properties.
