Abstract
In many emerging applications of silicon photonics there is a need to enrich the basic silicon (or silicon nitride) waveguide platform with overlay materials or chiplets, for improved performance or new functionalities. This presentation will discuss the state-of-the-art of heterogeneous integration approaches for this purpose and some of the associated challenges. |
