Ir. Luis Reis (Doctoral Researcher)
This person is working in this group since 2019.
Luis Reis received the BSc in Electronics Engineering from Instituto Superior Tecnico (Portugal) in 2016 and his MSc in Microsystems Engineering from the University of Freiburg (Germany). He focused on nonlinear optics, mainly chi2 materials, OPOs in whispering gallery resonators and adiabatic frequency conversion. Since November 2019 he joined the Photonics Research Group of UGent and OPERA Photonics of ULB, where he started his PhD later on, to collaborate with the ERC starting grants QuadraComb from F. Leo (ULB) and ELECTRIC from Prof. B. Kuyken (UGent) on the fabrication and characterization of non-linear platforms, mainly gallium phosphide, micro-transfer printed on silicon wafers.Publications (10)International Journals
