Abstract
We show a novel optical antenna concept based on a leaking guided mode. We performed extensive numerical modelling and we present the design process based on these results. Results indicate that this antenna concept could solve significant scalability issues with apodized diffraction gratings for engineering antennas with optimized beam profiles. Related Research Topics
