Abstract

We report the demonstration of high lasing wavelength repeatability of optically pumped InP-based microdisk lasers heterogeneously integrated with DVS-BCB bonding on silicon-oninsulator (SOI) waveguide circuits and processed with e-beam lithography. The resulting continuous wave laser emission of the microdisks at room temperature couples evanescently to an underlying
SOI waveguide. We study the laser emission coupling out of the SOI via a grating coupler etched at one side of the waveguide, and demonstrate a standard deviation in lasing wavelength of nominally identical microdisk lasers on the same chip lower than 500pm.
