Abstract
We demonstrate 56 Gb/s direct modulation of a high bandwidth heterogeneously integrated InP/Si DFB laser, and transmission over 2 km of non-zero dispersion shifted single mode fiber. The high bandwidth of the laser is achieved by exploiting the photon-photon resonance effect. Related Research Topics
