TomVandekerckhove
Tom received his BSc and MSc in Engineering physics from Ghent University (Belgium) in 2017 and 2019 respectively. He then spent one year at Cornell University as a master student working on WSe2 monolayer-based single photon emission under the supervision of professor Gregory D. Fuchs. Tom started his PhD in 2020 at the photonics research group and OPERA-photonique. He works under the supervision of Bart Kuyken and Stephane Clemmen on the development of integrated nonlinear waveguides with a second order nonlinearity through micro-transfer printing for quantum photonics applications.
