Ahmed Bayoumi obtained a B.Sc. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mansoura University in Egypt. Afterwards, he obtained his M.Sc. degree from VUB and UGent through the European Master of Science in Photonics program with a thesis on Deep Learning based optimization in photonics. He started his PhD at UGent-imec in October 2021.
