Pieter Wuytens graduated in 2012 as an Engineer in Photonics from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. He is now working towards a PhD degree for which he investigates the use of nanophotonic components for intracellular sensing and biodiagnostics. This multidisciplinary project is a joint effort between the Photonics Research Group and the Department of Molecular Biotechnology at Ghent University, under the promotorship of respectively prof. R. Baets and prof. A. Skirtach.
