Since 2020, I am working as a patent engineer/patent attorney in training at DenK iP. My work involves translating innovations in mature stage into patents, to be exploited commercially, to ensure the protection of intellectual property.

I earned a PhD in Photonics Engineering in the Photonics Research Group of Ghent University, under the supervision of Prof. Geert Morthier and Prof. Gunther Roelkens. Prior to that, I earned an MSc. in Microsystems Engineering from Khalifa University in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BSc. in Electrical Engineering at Ajman University in the United Arab Emirates, where I come from.

Unafraid to learn new things I love working in multi-disciplinary creative environments and look forward to translating science into recommendations.
