Dr. Alban Gassenq  (Postdoctoral Researcher)

Born in Montpellier in 1983, he received his diploma in engineering (opto-electronics) from the University of Montpellier 2 (UM2) in 2006. He then worked towards a PhD degree at the photonics groups Nanomir of the laboratory Institut d’Electronique du Sud (IES) from UM2. He got the PhD degree in Semi-conducteur for MidIR application in 2010 by defending his thesis entitled " Nouvelles sources lasers à super réseau InAs/GaSb/InSb pour l'émission moyen infrarouge”. Now, he works as a Postdoc in the photonics groups INTEC-IMEC at the University of Ghent on Mid-IR integrated optics.
