Shibnath Pathak received his M.Sc. degree in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras(India) in June 2009. As part of M.Sc. degree he completed his master thesis on near field scanning microwave microscopy. In November 2009 he joined the department of information technology (INTEC) at Ghent University as a PhD student in the photonics research group. His main research interests are simulation and design of silicon awg and optical switch. Specific Research Topics
